This quilt is based on a children’s story, “The Emperor’s New Clothes” and a nursery rhyme ” The Old Lady who lived a Shoe”
I theorized that the old lady was the Emperor’s seamstress but she was too busy with her children to prevent the Emperor from making his critical decision – no clothes. She is called to “Save the Day” and nearly drops all her tools along the way.
